Rebates

As part of the party’s project to update our technology, how we pay your membership rebate & incentive scheme payments is changing.

These will now be paid monthly, rather than quarterly.

This change is taking place because in addition to the payments you’re used to, these will also contain money you’ve collected via our new events tool, Eventcube and the forthcoming donation tools that are part of Fleet.

You can find out more about Eventcube, including costs, here: https://tech.libdems.org.uk/eventcube

You can find out more about Fleet here: https://tech.libdems.org.uk/fleet

Changes will be made soon to show the full breakdown of new rebate payments in Lighthouse, including the new income sources.

To make sure you’re receiving these payments, here’s what you need to do:

Donations on your new Fleet websites:

Each local party will have their own donation page on their Fleet website. The payment will come through to HQ and will be paid back to the local party via their new monthly rebates.

HQ will charge 2% to process these donations; this is to cover the cost of the software and maintenance and is not for profit making purposes. For comparison, Nationbuilder charges 2.4% + 20p (domestic) and 3.9% + 20p (international).

Donations data in Lighthouse:

As you may have spotted a number of records have recently been added to Lighthouse.

These new records are from historic donations that were taken on Nationbuilder. We have centrally migrated all donation records for you, ahead of Nationbuilder being shut down.

This should mean that most of your financial data is now present in Lighthouse.

Going forwards, all donations taken on party donation pages will be added to Lighthouse as well, finally giving the party a coherent picture of our supporters financial contributions, which will enable you to supercharge your fundraising.

This work will almost certainly have created a few duplicate records in the system.

We have done our best to match contacts between Nationbuilder & Lighthouse, but will not have been able to do this in every case.

We will also potentially have created duplicate donation records, if you had historically reported high value donations.

Both of these issues can easily be solved with a little bit of work, which we are asking you to do in the next 2 months (by 31st December 2022).

Here’s what we need you to do.
