Lighthouse FAQs

Find the answers to frequently asked questions about Lighthouse here.

  • You can use Lighthouse to do all the things that you currently use Salesforce for - updating your member and local party details, recording donations and uploading PPERA returns etc.

We will be adding extra features over the coming months that will hopefully make managing your local party even easier.

  • There is no extra charge for Lighthouse - this will be covered by your quarerly digital service payments.

  • If you’ve been nominated as a Super User by your local party, have you or your local party notified the Member Services team? If not, please email membership@libdems.org.uk to let them know - they will let you know once they’ve added you and you will receive your login by email shortly after.

If you’re a standard user, you will need to be added by one of your local party’s Super Users. You will then receive an automatic email with your logins. If they’ve added you but you haven’t received your login email, please check with them which email your account is registered to. They can change your login email by updating your primary email in your contact.

Please check your junk folder. We have configured emails from Lighthouse so they shouldn’t go into your junk, but some email systems have stricter filters.

  • The password is displayed at the top of your screen when you click ‘Download’ in Reports. If you didn’t record the password the first time, you will need to re-download the file to receive a new password.

  • Lighthouse is connected to Salesforce, which HQ staff are still using, and while changes made in Lighthouse are updated in Salesforce immediately, there is currently a 15-minute delay in changes made in Salesforce appearing in Lighthouse - this time may reduce in future.

If it has been more than half an hour since the team made the change and you still can't see it, just follow up by email or phone.

  • Yes, it's possible to request access to a different local party's records to your own on Lighthouse if you support them with their membership data management. Please ask the other local party's Chair to email membership@libdems.org.uk with the request, then the Membership team can set you up with access. If you already have access to Lighthouse for your own local party as well, you will then be able to switch between the two local parties by using the dropdown option next to the person logo at the top left of the screen.
