Update your Councillors on Lighthouse

Hopefully, you’re all recovered from the excitement of polling day & counts!

Whether you got the results your hard work deserved or not, thank you.

Whilst you recover, there’s one little admin task we’d love it if you could take a few minutes to do.

That’s input your Councillors & Election Results on Lighthouse.

There’s a guide on how to do that here: https://www.libdems.org.uk/lighthouse-guide-9 (pages 27-34) with step by step instructions.

It’s important to do this for two reasons.

Firstly, if HQ & ALDC know who our Councillors are, we can make sure that they get access to the support and resources they need to get re-elected, as well as ensure they get votes that they’re entitled to in internal elections coming up in the Autumn.

Secondly, if HQ can start to build up a fuller picture of election results across the country, we can use this in our targeting and analysis efforts to give you useful insights that might help us to win more seats. We’re in the early days of what we can do with this - but the more data we have, the more we can do!

There’s also one more bonus reason. That’s when Fleet, our new website platform launches, it’ll use the data entered on Lighthouse to automatically populate pages on your website for you, as well as allowing us to show who people’s Liberal Democrat representatives are on the In Your Area page.

It’ll take a little bit of time to input results for a full council area, but once done, that’s invaluable data that the party can use.

This is a new feature for Lighthouse and one that we’re giving its first road test after this election round.

If you run into any problems or need a hand, drop an email to support@libdems.org.uk and we’ll be happy to help!
